Spaceflight for the Rest of UsX-Rocket, LLC is a spaceflight services company. Our goal is to make commercial human spaceflight safe, routine, and affordable by offering training and education to industry, government, and the general public. Innovation begins at the low end. At X-Rocket, we specialize in suborbital vehicles that can be developed cheaply, put into service quickly, and operated at low cost. We believe that low-cost suborbital vehicles will revolution the space industry, the same way low-cost microcomputers revolutionized the computer industry. By operating a fleet of low-cost suborbital vehicles with a high flight rate, X-Rocket will be able to develop an experience and skills base that can be applied to more advanced forms of spaceflight. The educational environment of the Rocket Academy will allow us to share that experience with our customers. Our requirements for a low-cost suborbital vehicle led to the design of the Archangel Aerospace Trainer. As an aerospace trainer, Archangel is designed to minimize operating costs, development costs, and development risk. Extensive use is made of readily available off-the-shelf components to reduce the number of parts that must be developed. The Archangel airframe is derived from the widely available MiG-21UM supersonic jet fighter/trainer. Archangel development is supported by a team of experienced aerospace vendors, who can deliver the first Archangel Aerospace Trainer in less than two years. Maching Bird 1
